2019 LAKE RENTAL PROTOCOL

Summary: The opportunity to ski at a private ski lake is a privilege no skier should take for granted. Lake properties are almost always the owner's private residence. Similar to the rules you have in your house, lake owners have their rules. Always be mindful that our ability to rent a ski lake hinges largely on the conduct of our members.
Reservations: For those members with paid yearly dues by the March meeting (first meeting), we will have a lottery drawing prior to the April meeting. We will have two rounds of Lake Rental sign ups at the April meeting and the order will be determined by the lottery drawing. You may sign up for two lake rentals in each round. Cash or preferably check for the full amount is required at the time a reservation is made. Members who pay dues after the first meeting will be added in order of payment received to the bottom of the Lake Rental Order from the lottery drawing. After the April meeting, reservations will be on a first come, first serve basis, typically via alternate list. Two-day events will have 15-17 ski slots available. Two skiers can share a slot if pre-approved by the lake rental chair prior to the event.
To sign up: The Lake Rental Chair manages the sign up process which occurs in person at the April membership meeting. Membership dues must be paid for the current year and you or your proxy must be present to sign up. Checks are to be made out to LSWSC. Your name will not go on the list until all the above has been received. Dates offered are listed on the next page.
Refunds: Reservations are NOT refundable. In the event you will not be able to attend your scheduled lake rental, you must contact the Lake Rental Chair. The Chairperson will then notify you of who is next on the waiting list for that event.
